The Key Wheel for DJ's

This is the Key Wheel : based on the Camelot Wheel which is in turn based on the Circle of Fifths. As I was learning music production, I realized the gap between DJ softwares with their alphanumeric system and DAWs for music producers with the classic keys. I didn’t want to switch from one system to another, and I wanted to learn to recognize keys.

I created this visual to replace the Camelot wheel and work within the universal music system. I’m not a gatekeeper and I love supporting geekiness so I’m sharing it with you.

The benefits

You'll work with the fifths system which is the standard amongst music producers and musicians. The Camelot Wheel, the numbered system, is found only in DJ softwares.

By navigating on the Key Wheel yourself you take control of key navigation rather then relying on apps that analyse for you. You refine your technique... and save time.
